  • We had a very relaxing stay at the lodge. The scones in the fridge were much appreciated after a long drive. There was plenty of room for 4 adults and the dog loved the garden. We would definitely book here again!

  • The three of us stayed at the Longhouse Lodge for a week and felt very comfortable. There was enough space, and the kitchen was very well equipped. We also liked the tranquillity and the beautiful surroundings very much! In addition, communication with the host was always easy and straightforward. She also gave us good recommendations and tips in the guest folder. The lodge is highly recommended!

  • Fantastic lodge in quiet peaceful surroundings next to Winkleigh a beautiful friendly village. The lodge is modern spotlessly clean and extremely well equipped. The deck and garden are lovely. Hosts are very responsive and really have thought of everything, cream tea and milk in fridge as a welcome was lovely.
    Lots to do in and around Winkleigh and a great base if you want to discover other areas in North Devon.
    This is definitely one of the best Airbnbs we have stayed in we had a great few days there. Highly recommend if your visiting North Devon.

  • What a beautiful location for such a lovely home. Thank you Molly for being a brilliant host and letting us stay in your home. The Lodge was very clean and tidy, the pictures are just as it is and we had a very relaxed and pleasant stay.
    The gardens are stunning and our 4 year old cockapoo loved playing ball and snuffling around the very secure garden.
    The village of Winkleigh is very nice and only a short walk from the lodge. The pubs are very welcoming and great for a couple of drinks and some food.
    Molly was very approachable and when we messaged to check some things she was more than happy to sort it out very quickly.
    Overall we could not have been any happier with our week away in Devon and would definitely stay there again. Highly recommended!

  • We had a fantastic stay at Longhouse Lodge and honestly couldn’t have asked for a better getaway. The lodge is absolutely beautiful, exceptionally clean and very comfortable, with stunning views across the countryside. It’s the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle and enjoy some peace and quiet.
    The lodge has everything you could need for a relaxing stay, and the attention to detail really makes a difference. The location is peaceful and private, while still being close enough to Winkleigh and the surrounding attractions. We particularly loved the beautiful views and the tranquil atmosphere.
    Molly & Jolly were the most wonderful host, friendly, welcoming and very helpful, with excellent communication throughout our stay.
    We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Longhouse Lodge and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful, comfortable and beautiful countryside retreat. We would definitely love to come back!

  • We absolutely loved our second holiday in this beautiful lodge. The house itself has everything you need and feels warm and cosy while offering plenty of space and the luxury of two full-size bedrooms and two bathrooms. The garden is big and beautiful and the duck pond is enchanting. The village is very authentic, the people are nice and the butcher is excellent. The Kings Arms offers the best pubfood and is very reasonable in pricing. Some nice little other towns to visit in the area and of course the stunning Devon landscape, so plenty to enjoy.

  • We had a fabulous stay in extremely peaceful surroundings. The place was clean, exactly as described with everything we needed and check in was easy. The host was responsive, friendly and helpful throughout, replying promptly. Great location, suitable for visiting Dartmoor, North & South Devon and would definitely stay again.

  • My family and I had a fantastic stay.
    The cabin was equipped with absolutely everything we needed, every little things was thought of, even down to spare tooth brushes which we ended up needing! We were especially grateful for the scones, jam and cream in the fridge when we arrived 😄
    Molly was brilliant before we arrived at arranging a travel cot and high chair, she responded to all messages very quickly.
    The cabin was peaceful and quiet, so lovely for relaxing evenings. The weather wasn't great while we stayed, but that didn't matter, there was lots of family friendly things to do close by, some we had researched before staying, and some we got from the welcome book in the cabin.
    The cabin was well heated and spacious.
    Molly is a great host and I knew she was just a message away.
    Perfect location for a quiet, private family get away, we will definitely be back!!

  • The lodge was just as described. Beautiful surroundings for that peaceful morning coffee overlooking the hills.
    Hosts were very responsive with any questions I had.
    The lodge itself is super cosy, has everything you need for your stay. The only thing I would say is provide surface spray to clean the kitchen with. There were a couple of wipes but didn’t do much and ended up just having to use water to wash the cooker etc.
    Beds were super comfy, very quiet in the area so didn’t hear any traffic. We wanted to avoid fireworks for our dog and the place was just what we wanted. The garden is fully enclosed so it meant we could let our dog out and not have to worry. He even made friends with a little cat that came to visit every morning.
    We would definitely return in the future, hopefully in the summer to make the most of the beautiful space.
    Would defiantly recommend to anyone who is looking for a quiet relaxing stay! Thanks both.

  • Delighted to return to Molly's place. We last visited in October 2024 and this visit proved as comfortable as the last. The accommodation is in a great location with fabulous views over the countryside. The weather was super with clear autumnal days and nights, and Winkleigh is a 15 minute walk which helped get the step count up for the day. We had an elderly member of the family with us who enjoyed being able to sit and enjoy the views and wander around the garden taking in the fresh air. The facilities were great, clean and made us feel very much at home and we will be back! Molly was very responsive to any questions. I think our satisfaction could best be summarised by within 10 minutes of unpacking it felt like we had settled in and could look forward to an enjoyable break. I should add they have a beautiful private garden open to guests with a pond and birds which was really a cool place to chill out.
