Longhouse Lodge is situated in its own grounds, down a private lane. Recently renovated, creating a beautiful, relaxing space for you and your family or friends.
Accessed via a few outdoor steps, the accommodation expands across a single storey. The entrance door leads through to a spacious hallway, with storage cupboard to provide a place to hang your coats and store your boots.
To the left you can enter the relaxing open plan living area; with games, books and an internet enabled SMART TV to log in and watch your favourite films. This leads on to the spacious dining area, with table which comfortably seats four (a highchair can be requested).
The fully equipped shaker style kitchen includes a gas hob, fan oven, integrated fridge freezer and washing machine.
Two sets of doors lead out onto an outside decked area with seating, providing the perfect place to sit, relax and enjoy the beautiful views.
Heading back through the hallway you will find the first bedroom, with ample storage and featuring a super king size bed (or can be configured as twin beds). Ideal for both families or two couples sharing. Please let us know how you would like the beds set up at the time of booking. Directly opposite this bedroom is a full size bathroom complete with shower over bath.
Lastly you enter the master suite comprising of a large kingsize bed with stunning views from the window, ample storage space and an ensuite fitted with a shower.
Outside, the lodge boasts a large dog friendly and enclosed garden complete with a barbecue and delicious apple tree! You'll find nothing in front of the property, except open fields and an incredible view of Dartmoor. Should your eyes wander to the right of the property you may notice some wonderful fruit vines belonging to the neighbouring vineyard. Should you want to sample the local wine, feel free to take a stroll down the lane for a tour, or visit to their shop.
On site, there is a large enclosed private pond garden. You are more than welcome to walk around or enjoy a drink on a warm summers evening. Please note that dogs need to be on leads in this area due to nesting birds and children must be supervised at all times.
Dogs are welcome, please let us know at time of booking if you wish to bring your dogs. (See dog policy in our House Rules)
You are booking the exclusive use of Longhouse Lodge.
Private parking can be found to the right side of the lodge (on the gold gravel) for up to two cars, with access to the property and parking via a five bar gate off a private lane.
Please be aware there are a few steps into the property, with no ramp access, once inside it is all one level.
We do not like to intrude on our guests, and would prefer you to settle in in your own time undisturbed. Entry to the property will be via a key box; the code for this will be sent on the day of arrival.
Should you need our assistance during your stay, please do not hesitate to contact us, or find us across the lane. You may catch us around the grounds from time to time, feel free to ask any questions of us then too. We will assist in the best way we can, and nothing is too silly to ask!
